How booking works in Florida
- Adults (18+): take the written exam in person at a county Tax Collector or state driver license office. Most counties book through their Tax Collector's own appointment system.
- Teens (under 18): can take the Class E Knowledge Exam online through FLHSMV with a notarized parent proctoring form.
- Language: as of February 6, 2026, the exam is given in English only.
